First, make sure the strap is not too wide for the buckle. Second, make sure the belt is thick enough so that the buckle does not slide along the strap, causing your belt to become loose. Third, have the proper cleaning materials for your buckle, as sterling silver will tarnish.

Clearly this is an east coast only blog. I don’t think they let you west of the Mississippi with loafers no socks or monagramed belt buckle. But entertaining nonetheless.
