New to things this season was Modern Assembly, which was a collection of 4 menswear and 2 womenswear shows (MRket, (Capsule), Agenda, Liberty, Stitch and The Accessories Show). It is important to note that only Agenda and Liberty are new shows, the rest have been present in seasons past. However, they were not all combined into an ‘Assembly.’
Although I covered MRket in its own post (because I have covered it independently for the past few seasons) I will cover Liberty and Capsule in one post, as I tend to group those two shows are more contemporary and trendy. Project, which is very very briefly covered in the end has a wide array of styles. Unfortunately, by the time I got to Project I was too tired to adequately cover the show but just keep in mind that Gant, Gant Rugger and Billy Reid all have some solid stuff in the works (Project also had an onslaught of bloggers covering the show). Anyway, most of this is not what is usually discussed here but there were some brands that I really liked at them and then some that just caught my eye. Either way, some solid stuff (and must acquire) was seen.

Totally forget where this sweatshirt was from, but I like it.I have always liked Schott jackets, but have not seen them in the flesh that much (or near enough). Although the brand is perhaps best known for the motorcycle jacket Marlon Brando wore in the wild one it has a slew of other great products and its all made here in the States.Absolutely love this jacket. One of my top five things I saw at all of the shows.
Oak Street Bookmakers version of Gucci’s bit loafer. Like many of their shoes, I am guessing these are made at Rancourt & Co, but I could be wrong. Either way, great stuff.
Amazing.I love what Quoddy does. I was sworn to secrecy on their use of crepe soles on camp mocs when I visited their factory but am now glad I can show you what they’ve been up to. I’ll be needing a pair of these.
Shwood had a few new things on hand, such as these stone front glasses (yes, that’s real stone on them) and their version of the clubmaster. Always cool stuff.
Some painter at the Propaganda booth at Agenda, he’s pretty much killing it.Perhaps the best part of Capsule for me was that I finally got to see and try on a Daniel Wellington watch, as I have been wanting to do so for some time. I quite like the minimal design of them, they are Swedish after all…
A great array of colors for raincoats from Stutterheim. Another Swedish brand, minimalistic as well. I particularly fancy the yellow and green options.
Fellow blogger Jace Lipstein over at Grungy Gentleman has started his own line(s). Some are collabs with other brands and then there is his own line. This neoprene peacoat caught my attention.A great burgundy.
