Indochino Traveling Tailor Hits Philadelphia

A few weeks back I announced that Indochino would be bringing its Traveling Tailor series to Philadelphia.  The shop opened today and will be here through May 27.  I found myself downtown today and decided to stop by the shop at 1518 Walnut st and can say that Indochino has settled into the space well.

Since the New York event (which I reviewed) Indochino has changed up the workings of the Traveling Tailor events.  They now stay in cities longer, have longer appointments and have one person take you through the whole process, not have different people specialize in one part of the process (measuring, style, checkout etc).

If you have previously had reservations about the whole ‘having your friend measure you and input your measurements online’ thing this is an ideal opportunity to meet with the brand itself and have their fitters measure you up.  Of nearly equal importance, it is an opportunity to see the fabrics in person, instead of online.  And I should note that there are some solid Spring/Summer fabrics on display like cotton/wool and linen/wool blends.

Additionally, I have offered to act as a style consultant of sorts at the Traveling Tailor on Monday May 20th, I expect I will be there from noonish until close at 8pm (as a disclaimer, I receive no compensation for this).  So if you have any questions on the process or men’s style or you would like to be guided through the whole process by yours truly feel free to book an appointment for sometime during that day (just pop me an email at Justin@thefineyounggentleman.com to let me know when you will arrive, you can always just walk in but a reservation is highly preferable).

  1. Wow, it looks great! I may definitely have to stop by on Memorial Day weekend when I go up there. If you find yourself acting as a consultant there on another day, let us know. Looking forward to checking this out and taking the plunge with Indochino. The extra bespoke shirt with suit purchase also looks to be a great value added to the experience.

    • Manny,
I will keep you all posted on the style adviser thing, small chance the date may chance, but I doubt it. But if you have any questions for when you do go, feel free to email me or comment here and I’ll get back to you.

  2. Having been to both the DC and Boston events, I can say Philly has the nicest location of the three. Looks like a fantastic room to go through the Indochino experience, which has always been fun.
