On Monday Dean Girling of Gaziano & Girling regaled New York City shoe lovers with a trunk show at Leffot. Fortunately, I happened to be up in the city for the night and made a stop by. I realize the shoes are out of the price range of most of us. But you know, maybe they’d make a nice addition to your Christmas list this year; they will certainly be on mine. The level of finishing on Gaziano & Girling’s shoes is astounding; as are some of their patterns, which I think Gaziano & Girling does a particularly good job of applying their patterns on the lasts. Their bespoke shoes start just shy of $5,000 (I think), but they also have MTO and RTW (around $1,300 I think). Anyway, since none of us can afford the shoes yet, we are relegated to just marveling at their beauty…
PS – for a tour of their factory check out Gentleman’s Gazette.
Love that tobacco suede loafer in the first pic. Very elegant.
