With the summer weather in full swing the heat in the city is often intolerable, especially in a suit. Luckily there is linen; a lightweight and highly breathable fabric. For casual wear a few linen shirts should be staples in any well dressed gents summer wardrobe. However, linen can also be appropriate in the workplace, despite its more casual status. Linen shirts work great when paired well with a jacket, whether or not a tie is worn. They are also great without a jacket.
Wearers should beware that linen wrinkles, a lot. To combat this problem there are cotton and linen blends. Cotton and linen blends are slightly dressier, almost as breathable and wrinkle much less. Many times making them ideal. In any case make sure that linen is appropriate for your particular office before showing up in it.
Thanks for sharing this. I would like to add that Linen has the character of high tensile strength, when freed from the impurities it is highly absorbent and absorbs the perspiration very quickly. It is stiff fabric, very cool when hot and warm during winter, does not stretch and resistant to damage while abrasion and really comfortable. Linen provides you style too.
