Words From The Custom Tailor Journal, Pt I

Over Thanksgiving I was lucky enough to stop by Centofanti tailors in Ardmore, PA where I stumbled upon an old tailoring trade publication, The Custom Tailor.  The particular edition I came across was to commemorate an anniversary of the organization, I believe.  So there were pieces from the past century or so.  Over the next few months I plan to post up some of what I saw, as much of the content is still relevant today (and written far better than I could hope to write).  Below, we have a piece on good dressing for men, namely, wearing of a dinner jacket.  You see, it seems that American men had trouble dressing properly as far back as the 1950’s…  Thanks to Arthur Haft for keeping up the good fight back in the day.

Cheers,

JLJ

PS – there will be much more on Centofanti in the near future.
